SolarEdge first built a name for themselves with their award-winning solar optimisers, which revolutionised the way solar power was harvested and managed through an inverter.
Now the company is expanding, adding solar panels to their outstanding range of technology, making a home solar system installation easier than ever.
SolarEdge inverters
SolarEdge changed the game for home and commercial solar power.
Their new inverter optimised and maximised power generation at the individual solar panel level, while at the same time lowering the cost of energy produced by the system as a whole.
Since beginning commercial shipments in 2010, SolarEdge’s DC optimised inverter systems and products have been installed in solar PV systems in almost one hundred countries.
Their aim is to become the leading provider of solar inverters, and thus increasing the availability of clean, renewable solar energy to the average home.
Combining panels with optimisers
Taking their pioneering optimised inverters to the next level, SolarEdge are now manufacturing their own solar panels with the optimisers built-in.
This allows more power from individual panels, as well as faster and simpler installation.
Typically, there is usually one inverter for a string of solar panels. This means that the power output is an average of all the panels, so if one is dirty, malfunctioning, or in the shade, then all the panels are affected.
SolarEdge got around this problem by adding optimisers to each panel, this way the weaker modules do not affect the performance of stronger ones.
Individual solar panels can be monitored and controlled remotely, achieving the maximum power output for the system in total.
Now they are making their own panels with the optimisers already attached, saving the need for an extra step along the way.
Why you should invest in SolarEdge solar panels
Australians are paying the highest electricity rates in the world, and the cost for the average consumer is only going to increase..
By investing in a home solar system, you can put a stop to the escalating price of your electricity, and become self-reliant with your energy needs.
Obviously, how much you save depends on how much electricity you use, when you use it, and how big your solar power system is, but the average Australian home can expect to save at least 45% of their usual power bill.
And with the South Australian government introducing the Home Battery Scheme, there is now another financial incentive to switch to solar. The scheme offers up to $6,000 for homeowners to buy solar panels and battery storage.
On top of that, the Clean Energy Finance Corporation is offering $100 million in low-interest loans, resulting in savings of around $7,000 – $10,000 per home.
If you’ve ever thought about investing in a home solar system, this is the time to do it!
